Wakrapukara.
It consists of enjoying a walk to get to know on the route to be in contact with the beauty of the landscapes, see lagoons, fauna and flora at 4,300 meters of altitude. Recommended for those who love walking and contact with nature.
It is an archaeological site in Acomayo, located at a height of 4,300 meters above sea level, it was built by the Qanchis and later conquered by the Incas. It was declared in 2017 as Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the Ministry of Culture. The building would be an Inca sanctuary destined to worship its main deity the “God Teqsi Pachacamaq Wiraqocha” God of the Qanchis and is located on platforms, squares and a stone forest.
Waqra (horn), Pukara (fortress), or horn-shaped fortress. However, for the communities of Acos this fortress is known as Llamapukara, as they assure that the horns are actually ears of a llama that remains alert in the presence of foreign people.
